Know the moment a guest leaves.
Guests drop their key cards in a box on the way out. Housekeeping checks the room within minutes. If something was left behind, the guest gets a text with a photo before they reach the airport, and the desk knows the room is ready to sell.
No new door locks. Boxes run on battery and cellular. Works with Cloudbeds and Mews.

Three things happen. Your staff only does the first one, and they already do it today.
Encode keys as usual
A thin pad sits under your key encoder. When the agent makes keys, the pad reads each card and matches it to the room that just checked in. Nobody taps anything extra.
Guests drop keys on the way out
Put boxes where guests actually leave: the lobby, each elevator lobby, the parking exit. No screen, no line. Dropping the key is the checkout.
Quick check, then sell the room
The housekeeper for that floor gets the room on her phone and checks it within minutes. A found item goes to the desk as a photo, ready to text to the guest. When she taps Room ready, the desk can sell it or offer early check-in.
Run a demo hotel. Your phone gets the alerts.
This is the real system with a pretend hotel. Every step goes to our cloud server, which pairs the keys, decides what happened and tells your phone. Nothing here is a mock-up.
Put the KeyDrop app on your phone
Scan with your phone camera, or open assetdropstore.com/app and type the code.

Housekeeper without the app? Text her.
Check a guest in
The agent makes keys on the usual encoder. Our pad underneath reads each card’s serial number and sends it to the server, which pairs it with the room.
Drop keys in a box
Tick the cards the guest drops. The box sends only the card numbers and the time. The server works out the room.
Quick check the room
Minutes after the keys drop, the housekeeper checks the safe, outlets and bathroom. Found something? One photo goes straight to the front desk. Use the app on your phone, or tap here.
Text the guest before they get far
AI describes the item and writes the text. One tap sends it with the photo. In this demo it goes to the phone you verified in step 2, playing the guest.

Questions
Do I need to change my door locks?
No. The pad reads the card’s built-in serial number while your encoder writes the key. We never read or change your lock data.
What if I don’t use a PMS?
After making keys, the agent taps the room number once on the front desk screen. Everything else works the same.
Do my housekeepers need an app?
No. They can install the app or just get a text message with the room number and reply when they start.
Can I get my money back?
Yes, in full, until your boxes ship. Email us and we refund it to your PayPal account or card.
Does it need Wi-Fi or power?
No. Each box has a battery and a built-in cellular connection. The pad plugs into the front desk computer by USB.
Why not a plain key box?
A plain box tells nobody anything until someone opens it. KeyDrop tells housekeeping which room is empty the moment the keys drop, and tells the desk which keys never came back.
